Trouble is, Louis, that common sense just doesn’t seem to be so common as it used to be!
Believe me guys (if any of you out there still don’t already know), this type of stuff can only be learned “by doing”. CYA is all very well, but “live working” can still be a shocking experience whatever paper qualifications you may think you’re protected by!
Thinking a bit more about it, I realise that probably the best way to learn how to go about “live working” is to observe an old tech actually doing it (with both your hands firmly stuffed into pockets, of course). After all, he must have acquired some sort of skills in order to survive as long as he has, eh?
