Richard,
I am also in Amicus. I received my ballot form and booklet through earlier this week and a colleague at work received his the day previously. Neither of us had to ask for these to be sent.
The enclosed booklet states that Amicus will not suggest to its members which way to vote and that they should make up their own minds having read examples of gradings already announced. Having read the booklet it is a much less biased view when compared to Unison. I agree tho that it's impossible to ask people to vote when we don't know the outcome.
At the end of the day the way people are going to vote will depend on how confident they feel with the job description they signed and how much backing they expect to get from their manager in event of an appeal if things go pear shaped.
