For many moons we have been discussing some form of Physiological training and for want of nothing better to do (joke) I thought I would kick start it.
Initially I propose 3 courses based on the Datex “Back to Basics”:
1. Respiratory Gas Monitoring
2. Introduction to Anaesthesia
3. Basic Ventilation
Each is 1 day, venue here in Sunny Eastbourne Sussex(courses later in the year may be in the social club so bring your swimming trunks). Dates to be confirmed.
Cost will be about £30 each for the day to include a basic lunch.
Numbers = 20
Courses will be open to all on a first come first served basis.
Other suggested courses:
Low flow Anaesthesia
Cardiac Output monitoring
Basic Monitoring
* Blood Pressure monitoring invasive and non invasive
Physiotherapy and the use of medical devices
* Defibrillation techniques including AED, Shock Advisory External emergency pacing.
The length of the above will vary from half to a full day. It is my intention not to run courses back to back but if this does not present a problem to Departments please let me know.
Prices will vary from peanuts for lunch to may be £150 dependant on who is providing the training. Training vouchers will be acceptable for Philips provided courses *.
