That depends on your definition of medical equipment.
I prefer the old one of equipment that is used to diagnose, monitor or treat patients.
A basic electrical bed does none of these, whilst an air bed does.
If a line is not drawn somewhere you move further into the requests such as Consultant's glasses, "well he needs them to operate" similarly "I need my Dictaphone to make patient notes", both of which I've had recently.
