I've only ever come across one Pulsion Picco, and can't remember much about the power cable. I was more interested in the smashed case lid at the time. But someone else may be able to advise.
And yes, that's what your biomed department is for. But if you or any of the users are not happy with the coverage they (your biomeds) give, there are contractors available who would be happy to quote for 24x7 service (as it always should be, in my opinion).
