Meanwhile, here's a guy who is worth listening to. In fact, he could actually be one of the most powerful men in the world!

This is the bit I liked:-

Quote:
She said, I've got a company. And I said tell me about it, and she said there are 12 people, three in New Delhi, two in Mountain View, and there's somebody in Spain.

... sounds like an idea that I could buy into! smile

What they're talking about there, of course, is the power of the internet. And the fact that, for many (modern) companies (but also depending upon the nature of the "product"), it is becoming increasingly irrelevant where you, and your people, are actually located.

Factories in China, suppliers all over the world, one guy in Karachi (let's say), one in Dubai, another in LA (Rotherham, wherever), another floating around somewhere (who knows?) ... zero product actually stocked (it doesn't take stuff long to arrive from Hong Kong). A server somewhere in Cyberspace, and a bank account in Jersey (the Cayman Islands, wherever the best deal is on offer).

Virtual company, virtual products, and er, virtual salary. Ha, ha. Anyone want to join me?

If you don't inspect ... don't expect.
