There
were glossy brochures printed at (not so) great expense, Mate. In fact I still have the text to hand. I may have already mentioned that "the other guy" had the cheek recently to insist that it was he who drafted them, but you and I would both know otherwise. I'm not sure why he still believes that (after all this time), especially as it matters not one jot now. But, as I have been known to remark, we all have our own versions of reality!
The daft thing is (or was) that he then went on to become "hoist by his own petard" when he wanted me to write some more (oh yes, for a
new brochure). I looked at the originals (yes, dating back to 85-87) and announced that they're still OK pretty much as they stand. But then I advised:- forget brochures, and set up a website!

Looking back on all that now, it's clear that the real reason for our inability to "pursue other projects" was the usual one (and the one that has plagued me all my life) ... simply "lack of funds". I had a mortgage - and a hefty overdraft - (not to mention kids to feed) back in those days, after all.
And, of course, you need to have that other essential ingredient - luck!
