What type of connection does the bar-code scanner have? USB? 9-pin D-shell serial connector?
I can't recall anything about this machine ... but if "correctly engineered" (that is, following standards, and not using "proprietary" software as a way of ensuring continued after-market revenue), I would have thought that any scanner (reader) of similar type (shape
etc.) with the correct connections ought to work.
