I've got some news for you on that one, Malcolm:- I've been taking a look at Ansur files recently and am working towards interfacing Ansur with my famous TaskMaster program. That is, sending job files (.mjo) to Ansur, and summoning responses back to TM once Ansur has been used.
What would help me along there would be some clues about how (exactly) folk generally like to use Ansur. Which files do you prefer to load, for instance? .mjo or .mts? I'm assuming that .mts is the preferred method.
Also, what would you like the receiving database (that is, TM in my case) do with the .mtr Results files? What I have done is simply get a closed .mtr from Ansur to close the associated Job in TM.
And would you need a log database of all Ansur .mtr results to be maintained (I'm assuming:- yes ... your "Test Database")? What fields would you like to see in such a "historical record"?

Meanwhile, I would also like to do something similar with Rigel files; but at present I lack the file details (structures, examples
