Be careful about changing any software on a medical device. You do not know what the changes could do to the clinical systems. And far worse could happen if anyone downloads something off the web especially a virus. Also do you want the staff to be using a web browser when they should be monitoring people? Will the monitoring function still work correctly while a browser window is open?
Remember it is a medical device that just happens to be built around a PC, it is not a PC.
