Yes, it seems that every few years (a decade or so) a decent biomed system comes along - e-Quip, E-MAT
etc.Trouble is that once such systems become popular, the trend seems to be that they get bought up by Big Company Ltd. (and, presumably, the original developers become wealthy enough to retire) - usually to the detriment of the true quality (not to mention
price) of the system itself.
The other Big Issue here (the Elephant in the Room, if you like) is that it is not exactly unknown for the Biomeds to have an unsuitable system dumped (forced) upon them by the Management. So, yet another reason why the Biomed Chief needs to be, shall we say, a little "assertive".
