No ... all technical services in the hospital should come under the Technical Services Director ... with an "Old Sweat" biomed in that position!
I have never understood the Big Deal about "computers". If someone such as myself (a main-stream biomed tech, largely self-taught, of humble background, and limited attainment) can "hack" them, then any biomeds worth their salt should be able to take them in their stride - especially all the "clever" (degree-laden) young thrusters who have supposedly taken over these days.
Doom on all boiler mechanics, "ex-chefs", so-called IT "wizards" ... and other such pretenders! Everyone knows that Biomeds Rule (as the Princes of the Hospital) - that's why everyone else was always so jealous, and keen to plot against us [me] and plot against our [my] downfall!
