All of which just serves to remind us how much certain "arty types" like to fiddle about with original material. And why people often say things like:- "it was OK, but not as good as the book"! whistle

Forget all the 'arty' stuff, this film is one of the very best ever.. No Hollywood glamour or stars, just very gritty and amazing attention to detail. You can almost smell the fear and everything else. Do yourself a favour and watch it..
