I think things have developed for the better since MSV/MVS
The new Managed Equipment Service has many benefits, I work for a Trust looking into it and we plan to outsource just the supply of equipment. i.e. the company provides the equipment for X amount each year and promises to renew it regular for the latest model at set intervals. The best bit is we get to keep our inhouse team as we are only outsourcing the provision of equipment.
We considered TUPE across the EBME team but the Trust prefers to keep this inhouse. It was only interested in looking at transferring the risk of replacing old equipment. I will update as the project progresses.
