Here it's £4.67 per month, deducted at source(before tax!).In a previous existence the company I then worked for was compelled to introduce a payment as the local tax inspector was about to levy a benefit in kind tax of £200 per year on all staff using the company parking.

Our Trust introduces charges from next month. They are £15 per month for non-priority users and either £20 or £35 per month for priority users, depending on whether you earn above or below £35k per annum. All charges are to be deducted from pay and there is no guarantee of a space for either group of users.

Our Trust charges £6.00 per month no matter what you earn! It used to be run by private company, however, it's now back in Trust hands? Must be good money in it!!!!

All staff are charged £5.16 per month, no guarantee of a space. They are currently looking at withdrawing the permits of those that live within a 5 mile radius of the hospital but when they will get around to that, who knows.

Politicians pay for parking. I bet they get a nice air-conditioned car park, with chauffer thrown in. Mr T Blair drives around in armoured plate V8 Jaguar that doses 4 mpg.

But what did you expect from people who give them self 36% pay rise. All politicians should have to go through AFC and put into Bands.

Band 8: Prime Minister
Band 7: Cabinet Officer
Band 6: Speaker
Band 5: Quango Office (Blair's Mate)
Band 4: Politicians that say awake
Band 3: Tea lady
Band 2: The opposition
Band 1: Politicians that shout and jeer like a football fan.

I am not bitter or twisted in any way.

At the moment our trust is charging £250 per year plus a £15 registration fee.
All this depends on how much you earn per year.

Fight for months for the chance of a parking pass @ £9/month with no guarantee of a space.
Or pay £5/day at the privately owned multi storey across the road.
There is no visitor parking anywhere on this site!

At Addenbrooke's (Cambridge) parking costs £1 a day for staff who are allowed to park. If you live within 2 miles (I think) you aren't allowed to park at all except at weekends.
Entry to car parks is by ID card.
Multi-storey car park for certain groups including special needs like those dropping children off at on site nursery, consultants, Burger King staff, car pool users and staff on late shifts.
Cambridge has a few park and rides around the city and the parking charges are planned to match the P&R pricing so we can expect parking charges of more than £2 a day within eighteen months or so.
The hospital has set up a shuttle bus to one of the park and rides which starts after nursing shifts in the morning and ends before the end of late shifts in the evening for most places. Not sure of the price for the bus at the moment.
There is another park and ride which is within half an hour's walk but the path is not well lit so female staff would rightly feel unsafe using it in the dark, so that's most of the winter.
I use a moped to get to work (well a 125cc twist and go) and so far they haven't started charging for motorbike parking. Of course they keep changing where we are allowede to park and it seems every time there is a new building project starting up a bit of bike parking gets taken up for contractor's parking, skips or whatever.

I don't work nursing shifts at the moment but I'm still starting work before the public transport system can get me to the hospital so the bike is essential. It's being paid for with an interest free loan from the hospital available for bikes smaller than 250cc whoch is an attempt to boost powered two wheeler use and reduce car use for journeys to work, but then they mess around with the parking areas. I love joined up thinking.

In your dreams, they'd all be lucky to reach band 2 let along band 1 laugh

After Labour didn't like their grading they'd probably have a word with their trade union buddy's and then appeal to be graded under a admin spec. boggle

What about two jags, you know the elephantine portly bloke that punched the guy with the dodgy haircut laugh ?
Seriously though, do the fees you pay cover security? if so are your vehicles relatively secure? or are you all just being ripped off? mad
