However, back in 1314 their was a famous battle that Scotland won, and after living in Arbroath for a number of years, it must have been mentioned at least once a day to me, and re-enacted every Friday and Saturday night down town on any poor suspecting Englishman. So at least 40 years is relatively recent by comparison.
Ahh they were the days a pint of heavy and a smokeys...followed by a famous battle re-enactment.
Excellent Robbie! Of course, England have an excellent chance of doing well in the world cup this year. Scotland don't have any chance, because they didn't qualify, again. So if England do fall in the group stages, they've got further than any of the other home nations.
Why? Because the football in scotland is league 2 standard apart from the "Old Firm Derby" every three weeks. So when you are good enoguh to do something in a major champoinship we'll listen to your criticism. Until then? You just sound bitter.
