We've got one of these units which is surplus to requirements if anyone is interested.
It was last calibrated in December 2000 but has been in regular use as an "indication only" device. We've got other vent testers (including a new 'Certifier') which we keep in calibration and it seems a waste keeping such an expensive instrument just for indication.
Any sensible offers ?
Today is the day you worried about yesterday - and all is well !

What’s the current state of play on these lovely bits of kit, I wonder? I know where a couple are laying, but the guy wants big money. Anybody have any surplus to requirements?

Are you still looking for RT200 units, we deal with, service, repairs, calibration and replacement of equipment, for anything medical, onboard cruise ships, tankers, offshore, etc. We see these from time to time, locked away awaiting disposal. I could make enquiries if you're interested.

Always interested in good old kit like this! And always lurking on line, too. Ha, ha.

I never did hear from you again, Mr. Flowcalboy.
Has anyone found a way to keep the RT-200 in cal., by the way? Or have they fallen out of general use these days?

There have been some earlier posts on this topic, Trader. It seems that people had been shipping them back to the USA, paying lots of money, and waiting a long time for them to get sent home again! I can't help wondering:- 1) Are they still in cal after such a journey? 2) Is there not a way that they can be calibrated, or at least verified against some other instrument(s), in-house?
