We have one Agilent Technologies M4529A hand-held digital pulse oximeter for sale complete with an Adult Reusable Glove Sensor type M4531A and a copy of the user manual (further copies available from the Philips Web site).

This unit has never been used on a patient as it was bought direct by one of the Wards and is not the Trust 'standard' unit - so it never got past EBME ! The ward wouldn't send it back but no one would accept responsibility for using it / buying the consumables / paying for repairs etc.

It uses standard AA batteries - although it functions OK on re-chargeables as well.

Any offers ?

In case any existing users of BCI oximeters think they might be interested in this model, please be advised that it will NOT work with BCI sensors.

Although the oximeter is an OEM product from BCI (based on their own BCI 3402 Minicorr model) it has a proprietory connector that only accepts Philips' own type of sensors.

However, all other accessories or spare parts (of BCI origin) should be available from Pulmolink if any prospective buyers of Roy's unit were concerned about servicing/maintenance.

Hope this helps find a suitable "home" for this unwanted oximeter.

I didn't know that BCI made these units - I'd always assumed that H.P. made the majority of their products in-house, just buying in the odd sub-assembly or component (like CRTs etc).

Knowing that snippet of information has raised my expectations as regard achievable price !
