Has anyone looked at this device or evaluated it. I would be interested in comments from anyone who has trialed it.

Hi Alan
We have just purchased a Lightman so at this moment in time don't have that much experience to make a valued judgment.
We did not trial the Lightman but had it demonstrated to us and we were very impressed by it.
We tested some probes that we thought were faulty and had put to one side to use in part exchange and it passed four showing no fault.
I am sure it will prove to be a very usefull tool for us.

We have been using the Lightman for several months and find very useful.
In the past we used a Clinical Dynamics SmartSat which could test the probe LED's & for short/open circuits. The advantage of the lightman is the ability to simulate various sats readings and give a clear reading of the errors.
I remember years ago testing monitors on PPM by placing the probe on myself & looking for a reading in the high 90's. The Lightman has shown a couple of probes here to read only slight errors at 100% but as the sats drops to nearer 70% the error increases unacceptably. It's at these lower O2 levels accuracy is more important.
We were initially put off by the price but it's nothing compared to the amount we'll spend on probes during the life of the Lightman.
