Dear all, Now a days lot of rental equipments are coming to the hospitals on the basis of reagent and cosumable purchase ( Laboratory equipments/dialysis machines). We are eager to hear how it is in the other part of the world? What is the role of BIOMED in these rental equipments? If there any general forms or procedure available on acceptance, maintenance, evaluation for the equipment on rental schemes ? Regards sajeev

If the device is provided while you use reagents etc then it is on loan. Here, we enter it into the system as a long term loan item, complete acceptance testing and then get the supplier to sign the indemnity so that they are responsible for all maintenance during the loan period

Same procedure here - assuming anyone tells us about the equipment, of course !
Today is the day you worried about yesterday - and all is well !

Dear All, Thanks for the reply How the biomed can contribute for the cost saving part. There is a common view point in the market that the companies will put machine free and take more money on the reagents during the contract period does any one have a checklist/contract forms which can keep the rental contracts successful to both hospital and company. Regards sajeev
