I have been asked by one of my seniors to find out how many hospitals rapair their own Blick pagers. Hopefully enough to enable us to drive down the cost of parts?

I and a fellow colleague were once employed by Blick as service engineers and we both worked on the radio paging systems installed in hospitals. However we never attempted to repair the pagers these were always sent back to the Blick factory in Exeter for repair. I can appreciate your comments regarding costs.

I should add that my colleague and I dealt mainly with the transmitters, inter-site couplers, encoders, telephone cards, etc. We were never supplied with spares to repair the pagers, it was a case of ship it back to Exeter.
Out of interest what are the latest developments with Blick regarding paging systems, have they introduced their 'confirmation pagers'.
