Yes, the Volvo estates are great work-horses. I even had one myself in one of my previous lives. That would have been back in ’89, so it would have been a 240, I guess (as I never buy new). Had a gearbox like a tractor, I seem to remember. Pity that Volvo never made vans!

This fine vehicle had a gearbox very reminiscent of the Volvo's! The hotel is now known as the Howard Johnson Plaza, and the tree is gone in favour of asphalt for car parking!
