I agree that a signature is essential to prove that the department has had the equipment back, but you must also have a printed name as well. Most signatures are unreadable and if asked who signed the Job Sheet by the department you then need the printed version. This has saved us countless hours in the passed when being accused of not returning equipment or giving them new equipment.

We don't have much trouble with departments accusing us of not doing the job or returning the equipment. The unreadable sigatures are the problem, thanks for all the feed back.

Get them to PRINT THEIR NAME as well as scrawling their signature, marking their "X", pressing their thumbprint or whatever! smile
