If you are asking how many points you can transfer for a ONC, to a degree course (say by the OU) the simple answer is none.
If you have an ONC it stays an ONC, unless you take the next step up being the HNC or converting it to an OND with a couple of extra units.
If you take a look at the OU website they have a mind bending page on how many points each part of study is worth, even to the point that a HNC gained in one year is worth less than one gained in an other, and they say we are not dumming down.
what ever the reason for asking, good luck.
Scott

Sorry
The qualification in question is Electronics btec first diploma and it is a one year course.Do you think this is equivalent to the entry requirment of electronics ONC for Medical engineer?

btecs diplomas = OND are one year full time courses. Theoretically they are slightly higher academically (having more modules)than an ONC which is a part time course over two years. People gaining an ONC generally, and I stress generally, (so as to avoid bullets)have more practical hands on experience as they tend to go to college 1 day and have hands on with a job for 4 days each week.

Huw, please allow me to differ. Not bothering to at least attempt to spell correctly is not only that (ie, not bothering), but also discourteous to the intended reader. And, as you sometimes remind us, we have a world-wide audience.

Surely we did not get where we are today by being not bothering to be courteous?

To answer your question Vince, I have always more or less equated OND with ONC. Why not? And yes, in the real world, I would consider either qualification more than adequate for entry into the biomedical engineering “profession” (…not so sure about the Clinical Technologists, though – whoever, or whatever, they are)! smile

If you don't inspect ... don't expect.
