Hello biomed community,
I know this topic came up years ago, and I have not been on for a while so do not know its conclusion...
But is there a listing or does anyone know where I can get all my Manuals from for the various equipment one finds out in the Wards and community's.
I have managed to get the Alaris, and possibly the Dinmap stuff, but are there any other sources of Technical service manuals one can get off the internet, or directly from the suppliers?
It would be so much easier than all those manuals spread out in cupboards for the dust to gather on then binned! Only to be needed the very next week.
I would scan the beggers myself, but then I would probably be infringeing copyright?
Any assistance or to be pointed in the right direction greatly appreciated..
have a good one and don't eat too over the festive season...lol :p

Hello Mr E.
Hope you doing alright, have a good Christmas, all the best for 2006.
I started putting .PDF's onto my PDA, along with a list of suppliers and numbers, also starting a database of equipment and all jobs and faults, and other info from my diary - then I could search the database for faults / setup info etc, great tool ! but alas it had an introduction to the floor at a fast speed so now it sits with my GPS just for mapping !
Cheers, Andy.

I think that suppliers should have manuals as a download on websites, that way the latest version of the manual is always available. I understand that some would not want this information available to everyone, but a password protected part of a site would be good for all.

Andy you old dog, how's life in the fast lane? thought you bought a expansion card for that toy years ago, and a whizz like you not backed it all up .. I dont believe it?
Scott, most suppliers/manufacturers don't give out manuals unless the person wanting them has done the training course, which is the norm. Stops the clever clogs style people from stuffing it all up for the proffession.
But surely these questions have been asked before, Could Huw not collate the info and pass it on for the real biomeds to then download?... OH NO I can hear him shout, I don't want more responsibilities???.. Thats what happens when you run such a brilliant site Huw, DELEGATION...
;P
cheers to the little elves working through Xmas
