If you are looking to collect platelets from Healthy donor then i would sdvise you to go for a Gambro BCT Trima.

from my experience,

Hemonetics - more sophisticated ,need routine calibaration, can not maintain with out manufacturer's support( special tools and cal.softwares).
Cobe spectra- Need small small maintenance work, reliable, can maintain the equipment with 2nd line training...

From my experience the Cobe while quicker gave a higher percentage of patient problems, especially citrate reactions. Also isn't the cobe a two arm procedure.
As well as maintaning Haemonetics units (V50, MCS3P, MCS+) I was also a platelet donor. While having one arm out of action with a line in is not really an issue - you can still scratch your nose, two arms would do my head in.
There is only really one special tool required for the Haemonetics now that the vacuum chuck is replaced.
