We currently have only two 'low flow' anaesthesia systems in use, with others waiting their place on the replacement programme. We seem to be experiencing significant problems in respect of leaks, pop-off valve problems etc with these machines, and this has affected user confidence.

I am interested to know which other hospitals use low flow anaeasthesia, and which machines they use to deliver this. I am particularly interested to be able to talk to anyone with experience of the Blease (Spacelabs) Sirius 3000.

Many thanks

Hi Paul

We currently have Blease Frontline 560s used for low flow - the Sirius is (I believe) is very similar. We dont have any particular problems with the 560s however intend to replace some of our older machines (possibly) with the Sirius shortly - could you let me know more details or contact me privately to discuss?

Cheers

Bill
