I have fond memories of KKNGH Jeddah, Salah. I was involved with commissioning it back in 1982. It would be nice to potter about at the back of the workshop, as an old pipe-smoker, I suppose. Even better would be vacations in the Philippines! But they say (do they not?), that "you should never go back" (ie, it breaks the spell). If you get really desperate, better let me know! smile

Hey, roman, you should stay where you are, Mate. Your skills must be sorely needed there. Again, if you need a hand (and can arrange a bit of funding), I know people willing to help.

As long as you are getting by, you will achieve far more satisfaction through the work you are doing there, roman than anything you're likely to do in the Desert Kingdom. I know, Mate, having spent many years there. I also work for peanuts (sometimes nothing more than a promise). Luckily for me, though, I enjoy spreading peanut butter on my toast! As I've said many times to youngsters before, if you're in this game (ie, biomed) to make money, you're probably in the wrong business. Look around you, Buddy, those patients and nurses need your help. That's what it's all about, doing something useful, rather than something that's easy to do. smile

Behave yourself Geoff, Ive got a tear in my eye now. I know a joke about peanuts and it goes like this:

Mum and dad sat in the kitchen as their daughter has her new boyfreind in the lounge. Dad is throwing peanuts into the air and catching them in his mouth, he misses and one gets stuck in his ear and he cannot get it out, his wife says 'go and ask your daughters boyfreind he's in the medical profession', so dad pops into the lounge and the couple are rudely interupted by dad. Can you get this peanut out please he asks? the boyfreid holds onto dad's head and shoves two fingers up his nose then tells him to blow out hard, he does this and the peanut flys out.

Back in the kitchen his wife says I told you he was in the medical profession, yes says the dad and by the smell of his fingers I think he's a Gynecologist....
