We have recently experienced a problem with the air flow ball been stuck at the bottom of the flow meter of a Stephan F120 ventilator – preventing air getting through to the patient circuit – This is on a transport incubator designed air transport .
The distributor has told us he is aware of this happening 3 times in 8 yrs – has anyone else had this problem ? . I am trying to establish if this is a once off error or something to be checked on a regular bases – As it is only used for air transport , it does not get used that often , however this happened when they were about to get onto the plane .
