Hi,
We have a problem with a product. The problem is as follows:
A video output card of a Medical Equipment has two video outputs, say
interlaced & non-interlaced. The service manual mentions to connect monitor
at non-interlaced and printer at interlaced. Non-interlaced output is
damaged (no output). The printer output is OK and monitor is currently
connected with it but we have double elongated images on the monitor
(vertical size is OK and horizontally we have two squeezed images). If there
is a conversion device that converts Interlaced video output to
non-interlaced output can be one solution. Or as a second option, If we get
a monitor with interlaced video spec, the problem may also be solved. The
answer is awaited at on SOS basis.
Best regards,
Muhammad,
Pakistan.

Surely the best solution would be to repair or buy a new video card?

Failing that, what you are looking for is a scan-doubler which is a device that will double the video frequency.

You don't specify what kind of monitor? Computer or TV?

As a very long-shot and therefore a remote possibility for your SOS, you might just try opening up the monitor and adjusting the internal horisontal hold control pot to see if this pulls the two imagaes together. Just a thought.
