Does anyone have any experience with the Ellman Surgitron 4.0 Dual Freqeuncy Diathermy.

This device is used in our opthalmic theatre. I have come to do PPM checks on the device, and discovered the Power Output is not as expected. I have tested this device using two different analysers.

Fluke QA-ES II & an old Eschmann test box with analouge gauges.

When testing using the QA-ESII, Monopolar with 500 Ohm Load, results are miles off.

Using Eschmann box, results are much closer to expected values, but some are out of spec (+/- 20%)

Does anyone have any experience of testing this device, if so what test kit do you use?

I'm not familliar with the Surgitron 4 unit but I am with the Eschmann ETS3 test box, I am pretty sure that its tolerance is stated to be plus or minus 20%.

If you haven't already you will also need to bare in mind the way the output changes under different loadings and the fact that this test box uses resistors.
