I am sure I saw a flyer that said they had a 7 year warrantee which included accidental damage.
Fit and forget - and if one is broken by a user, swap it for a new one.
No repair effort, no hunting for ones due a service, seems the ideal solution to me.

Yes it does have a seven year warranty but they recommend an annual check (for damage and leaks)

Sorry add this to the previous post.

The flowmeters have the 7 years warranty.

Their regulators have a 4 year function warranty and require a functional and leak check annually.

Dear Rob,

Generally flowmeters, suction regulators and cylinder regulators are very hardy stuff and you can expect the equipment to last a significant long time if you maintain them properly.

If you have a significant quantity with each type of equipment, you may want to consider calling a tender based on economy of scale. Generally the price could be lower and equipment vendors inadvertently compete on pricing.

My experience with Ohmeda products is they are very reliable especially in the SOT range. Try standardise with 2 brands if they are good equipment so that you don't really rely on one vendor support when you need them.

Regards

What kind of flowmeter and Regulator are they with a warranty of 4 - 7 years? The cost must be significantly higher than the one with 1 - 2 years warranty.

Regards

We found them to be very competitive.

We use Therapy Equipment (http://www.therapyequipment.co.uk/)

Their 2008 UK price list gives these prices:-

Flowmeter with probe £41.75 (7 year warranty)
Bullnose regulator with dialreg and schrader £120.50
With reductions for larger quantities.

Thanks for the info.

Divide it by 7, it costs £6 or less a year (for flowmeter).
Good deal.
