Hi Folks,

Has anyone got any service information on this (HP, Philips)Pagewriter 2 4745A. I know it an obsolete unit.

I cannot remember how to enter the print test mode.

It also shows error 23 on switch on, could be something as simple as an internal battery.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Robert

If it is obsolete why not replace it rather than repair it? The new diagnostic tools in a modern EGG are far superior, and could aid the cardiologist/patient in getting an improved diagnosis. smile

On the other hand, why not repair it? All it needs is a new PCB battery, I should imagine. Interpretative ECG recorders are meant to be an aid to diagnosis, not a substitute for the skills of the cardiologist (if not, I might as well start taking ECG's myself)!

But if you are tempted to bin it, Robert, remember there are plenty of people about who would be happy to receive it as a donation. Not everyone is funded by the taxpayer! smile

Can you still get the pens for this machine?
Error 23 is RTC fault, sounds like the internal battery.
Plotter test is: Turn ON, press STOP twice, then RETURN. then select the test you want.

Many thanks for your positive replies, You will have made the user very happy.

The unit belongs to an underfunded research dept hense why I am trying to support an obsolete piece of equipment.

Cheers!
