Does anyone know of UK suppliers of the wire baskets used to hold oxygen masks and tubing that are usually fixed to the wall behind the patient's bed?
No one round here seems to know, either supplies or estates, and as usual it falls to us to find out!!
Thanks for any help.

Any or all of the "medi-rail" people provide them (as accessories to their rail systems, of course). Meanwhile, I'm wondering if you actually mean a cuff (NIBP, sphyg etc.) basket. Plenty of those available, but you usually need to buy the sphyg as well!
If you don't inspect ... don't expect.

I have a Penlon catalogue and there's nothing in there for these items either to attach to medirail as an accessory or stand alone (screw to wall that is!).
I suppose you could use them for cuffs, but those tend to travel round with the dinamap.

Anmedic supply a "Modura" rail system with solid, dovetail or heavy duty rails, good quality but expensive !
Saying that, one of the best things they supply is a Uni-Claw which is designed to and seems to fit all rail systems ( no ward refurb needed ). It is spring loaded so you can move it about easily and theres a mask hook accessory that screws into the claw.
Theres a few other good accessories too.
Bill Quick on 07968345477 will be pleased I am sure to give you details

Anmedic ... the company that took over MIE (a British company with a proud history in anaesthesia equipment employing robust and proven technology).

If you want to know more about the old company of MIE (Medical & Industrial Equipment ltd) go to www.historyofmie.co.uk a new site still expanding. Bill

Brilliant, Bill. Thanks for that link (I'll have a good look at it later). Such a pity that the company couldn't have remained independent. Of course, the same could be said of almost all the (once) well known British medical equipment manufacturers. * So much for "globalization", "acquisitions and mergers" and all that BS. Bah! And just look where that has gotten us! * Note: why stop there? What about the aircraft industry, electronics industry, motor industry ... and all the rest?
