We have quite a number of infusion devices, which need to go back to the manufacturer for repair/service.

Does anyone out there know to a company who will come in and collect equipment and then package the kit for safe transport to manufacturer for repair.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why not ask your supplies department for empty packaging?

Failing that, why not ask the manufacturer for the boxes? They can be reused!

They are not brauns are they. we keep a stock of the boxes as they come in as it wont be long till they are going back to the manufacturer.

Tell me more. We are going to end up with some of these to go onto a critical care transfer trolley that has been designed for use throughout Scotland. Evidently it will only take Braun pumps and we currently use Cardinal Health Pumps.

How long have you got.

You will need hinges by the bucket load as they are designed to break.
P2 connectors are another one as there is an inability from some to unplug before moving off.

Transformers are a problem unless you do what I have done on our transfer trolley and fitted one of the multi cables. I did try and use a space station but it sat forward too far. They are in the process of getting us new ones but then we have been waiting a while.

Make sure you get the training and the software as without it you are dead in the water as turn around isnt the quickest.

I am just putting together a list of stock we will have to keep so that we can keep turn around to the minimum.

I could go on but wont.
