oops, I was hoping Singapor might have been somewhere near Manchester's China town! I will be in Singapor China, next year Roger, if you want I will look you up for a beer.

Maybe I should propose postage and packing or suggest a travelling time charge for the installation.

Anyway Geoff, thanks for bringing that to my attention. If anybody living and working nearer, the UK would be handy, I am sure we could deliver for a modest fee.

Since when has the Lion City been in China (or, in fact, anywhere near it)? frown

Yes Singapura, the Lion City.

I can see I am going to have to be very precise when I communicate with you people. I know Singapore is in not in China but its a darn sight closer to China than the UK. My dad was stationed out there and he said its on the south tip of the Malay peninsula which is part of Malaysia. End of geography lesson, I hope. Please no more, I'm a simple man and this is stressful. smile

There's nothing wrong with being a simple man, Cliff. And I would be first in line to honour your Dad, believe me. But we on this forum are technical types, and it is in the nature of technical types to be precise. It goes with the turf, does it not? smile

I hope to be a positive contributor to the furum, I have an engineering background but look at life quite differently today. I am sure that if I overstep the mark in conversation you will all correct me,so until we meet again. smile

Over step the mark? Not at all, Cliff. All commentators are welcome here. But (being an open forum), the responses one gets are not always quite the ones expected or imagined (and I speak with great experience of many "debates", believe me)!

I also look at life quite differently today than the way I did, say, twenty or thirty years ago. But (unlike some), I like to think that my fundamental values, and the principles passed down to me in my younger days still remain intact. So, I would be interested to learn (as I'm sure others would also be) in what regard, or in what way, do you look at life differently now. And has this anything to do with stepping away from engineering? smile
