I would like any advice or comments relating to the issues our Bayer 348 is currently experiencing. We recently purchased a refurbished machine for animal surgery monitoring. Within the last week the machine alternatly goes from the ready to non-ready mode and displays that the buffers or wash are insufficient. It would also not recognize a sample. We cleaned all of the lines and cleaned and lubricated the pump rollers. We are still having the problem. We deproteinize weekly. Does anyone have experience with this type of problem?

Try to exchange all the lines.

In the right side lines, there are the sieves and the left side lines are usually "pulled out".

We Had a similar problem with one of the Bayer 248 Analyzer. It was giving insufficient Buffer message. The problem was solved when we reduced the ambient light. There should not be any light directly falling on the fluid detector area.
(you can even try running the machine with the fluid detector area masked with black sticker)
Or else you can check if there are any blood clots or something like.
