C02 error can normally be fixed by recalibrating the pressure transducer. Strange things happen too if you have disassembled the unit & plugged the SpO2 board back into the wrong socket on the main PCB! Also, it is worth removing the front PCB & cleaning the front keypad contacts as there are problems particularly with the power switch taking extended/double presses to operate etc.

Hi, I have the same problem with the signal monitor 52000, the CO2 Error is tempted by a problem with the pressure transducer since it can´t make the autozero adjust when it starts. it would be a really great help that some of you guys had the service manual of this instrument. Thanks in advance and sorry ´cos my english is not very good looking. y para wal, si pudiste solucionar tu problema por favor me cuentas como hiciste, Adios!

The service and operators manual for our current product range are now on-line in our Technical Library. But as the VSM 52000 series was discontinued before the library was set up its not there. Drop me a PM with your e-mail address and I will send you a copy. There are two versions so it would be helpful to include the software version of your monitor, (or the colour of the silence button). As for the unit switching off shortly after being switched on that is a dead battery. But do check the charging circuit, should be about 6.8V open circuit at the battery connections. CO2 is Auto zero failure, but because you are outside of the UK I can not help further, you will need to contact your local Welch Allyn support.

As for the unit switching off shortly after being switched on that is a dead battery. Yes ... this is very often the case (I almost said "invariably"), and is the answer (I should imagine) to a number of queries about similar faults on this forum recently. As I keep saying, "think simple"! It will be the battery!
If you don't inspect ... don't expect.

Thanks for all your valious help partners, i´m sure it´s not a battery problem, ´cos i found a way to make the instrument pass the Auto zero initial test but it´s not a technical way :p and the instrument keep working normally, the problem is that if i shut down the instrument, when i turn it on again it presents the CO2 error code again. I´m really sure the problem is in the pressure transducer it needs to be recalibrated or something. Thank´s for all, with all the valious help that you have given me i´m sure i will fix this problem.

OK, I was reading the service manual and sure enough! all I need is the repair software to make a pressure calibration and that´s all. Now if some of you partners have the suitable version for the 52000 unit please help me with it.
Thanks for your help!!
