Has anyone had any problems with these units where the nipple on the blower connecting to the pressure transducer snaps off?

we had never faced the similar problem for last 9 yrs. If you are not taking atmost care while pulling the tube this may happend. But we had few blower assembly failures!

Just to clarify, this is happening whilst the unit is in use. Unit working fine then the user reported an error 49, blower pressure transducer failure, upon investigation I found the nipple had broken off. Just wondered if other people had had this problem as it happened here about 12 months ago.

No, we have used these for years and have never had this problem.
Must have been hit with a huge amount of force to snap that baby off, those nipples are solid, as all good nipples should be!
(and set back in the device, difficult to get to in order to clean never mind snap)

What did you do to repair/replace it? Did you have to replace the whole casing unit?

It looks strange to me also. It is a solid piece!May be a manufacturing defect or a mishadling by user or a tech guy who did previous service.

Aren't these things used in domestic circumstances (that is, at home)? In that case, who knows how they get used (abused)?

If (as Adrian seems to be saying) there was a single case a year ago, I think we can write this one off to "unknown causes" or, perhaps, "misadventure"! frown
