We wanted to buy the new Resusitaires from Drager. But because of the amount of money being spent we have to find 3 competitive quotes. I was only aware of two companies that made such equipment (generically known as open incubators I think) that was Drager and Hill Rom. Drager have now taken over Hill Rom. Does anybody know of any other suppliers of such equipment? They are to be used on Labour ward not Neonatal unit, so they do need to be able to be used for resuscitation. This means they need O2 and suction. I think that’s all?

Would be very grateful for any help.

You also have Fisher & Paykel and Datex/GE Healthcare.

I think inspiration Healthcare may do one also (probably made by Atom)

Sorry Daniel (and John) but we do not sell open incubators, only the closed variety.
The usual ones I see are made by Drager (inc. Hill-Rom) and F&P but I did recently see the new GE Panda in a EBME department. No idea how good it is though Daniel, but you could always ask LeeS as he started the thread below about these warmers

Central Medical Supplies used to do the "Baby Warmer" range, electric cots with heated mattresses which do for such an intermediate application ie open access baby warming with no resusc functions. Don't know if they still do it but they were a lot more economical than big brand incubators and to my knowledge we haven't had much trouble with them over the last 4 or 5 years.

We've recently purchased the Hill Rom/Drager RW 82's, the only pain is getting the blenders serviced we've now overcome this by carrying out the manufacturer training and now conduct this 'in house' too. The CMS cots as i understand don't provide a resuscitation unit as we have looked at these. We have also trialled the Fisher Paykell and Panda units.
