In our department we have a big beast manufactured by Becker, a German Company. However I have also seen a wall mounted unit which connects to a standard 13A socket. I think that it was manufactured by Penlon. What do Maternity units use?

Have a chat with the people at MEC TEL. 01582 661885, they do small systems that would suit.

Can’t you just avoid using anaesthetic agents and Nitrous altogether, then, Karl? I would take lots of breaks too, Mate, if I were you. Simply the opening and closing of the door, and going out for a whiff of fresh air usually suffice, do they not?
If you don't inspect ... don't expect.

Dear KM, Please check with the following link.Hope it will help. http://www.medaes.co.uk/ (The MEDÆS Anaesthetic Gas Scavenging System (AGSS) is an active system that removes waste anaesthetic gas mixtures from operating rooms and other areas in which anaesthetic gases are administered. The design of the system is in compliance with BS 6834:1987. The oil-free exhauster units provide reliable service with the minimum of maintainance necessary. A range of simplex and duplex units are available to suit all system sizes, with remote start switches being installed at the points of use. BS 6834 compliant receiver and terminal units complete the system eliminating the possible health hazards concerned with frequent exposure to anaesthetic gases.) Regards Sajeev
