B,F,G, D-W and now N! But what about A, and the other B ... and even O-T, now known as C?

Man, this is fun! smile

Why build your own, just stick a bag of saline on an IV pole and filter it through the Peritoneal layer.

Try a posting on the above website (UK Dialysis Technicians) and you might get a considered reply.

I would suggest contacting some of the renal units direct. There are units at Guy's & St Thomas', The Royal London/Barts, Kings, Royal Free, Charing Cross and St Georges. The techs at all of these should be able to give the lowdown on all the major suppliers.

In Malaysia, 95% of the Dialysis center used a Fresenius product. It much more reliable, ease to maintain and very friendly user. The component inside the units also ease to troubleshoot.

I experienced using Gambro product. Always giving headache. huhuuh...

But I recommend u, 'F' products

I worked in Gambro Technical Service in Turkey. I don't like Gambro dialysis machine. It has a lot of problem. It is very sensitive. So Fresenius like rocks. No problem. Gambro cheaper than Fresenius or Braun in Turkey. Gambro Ro is ok . It is very quality. It is only my belief.

We use both Gambro AK200 and Fresenius 4008 here but it depends on what you want. Is it full HDF and is your water plant able to produce ultrapure water.

Both companies offer free technical training so no comparison.

Parts are about the same sorts of price.

You will have to go through the procurement hoops so will need to get a number of devices in for trial.
The nikiso looks to be another decent piece of equipment.

You will just need to get together your needs for now and the future and go to the manufacturers to see what they can supply.

If you can get out and visit a few other sites that have the equipment.

BBraun is big in the rest of the world but not (yet) in the UK as far as I know. Might be worth a look especially if they price well to get a foothold in this country.

My spelling is not bad. I am typing this on a Medigenic keyboard and I blame that for all my typos.
