Is anyone else using the MS26 lock boxes (Part No.0105-0640)?
If you are, are you finding them to be delicate?
Guess what? the company claim they do not know of any one else having these problems!
The locking mechanism clamps against 2 "HOOKS" which are made of some clear plastic and are part of the single moulding that makes up the top of the box (i'll try to put some photos in the gallery)
Graseby are asking nearly £90 for these boxes, which appear to have been designed to generate repeat orders.

Again, if you ask nicely, I expect Huw will enable the File Manager for you right here!  Graseby are asking nearly £90 for these boxes, which appear to have been designed to generate repeat orders. Nothing new there, then.

We are using these but have not had alot of requests for replacements, more requests for the keys which go missing !
I am looking into the removal of this from the Trust as are many others here in NI

Hi ... yes they are useless...!!! we have many that are broken its a common problem... and expensive to replace !!!
Two heads are better than one... well sometimes..

We have similar problems with the keys, even though every ward/department has a spare one with their drugs keys.
I did wonder if the boxes were being broken open but i think repetative strain on fragile plastic equals £90.

We had HUGE problems with the MS26 lockboxes. We no longer have them in the trust but we did have an agreement with Graseby and they were replacing them free of charge so they did acknowledge there was a problem.
Keep on at them and im sure they will give you the same deal

As far as I am aware both the MS16A and MS26 are still available from Smiths.
As to lock boxes, why can't the OEMs design a decent lock box with maybe softer plastic and metal hinges and clasp. Even the T34 lock box is rubbish
