Hi,
Has anyone got any Transport Pro monitors (GE)? We have a problem with several that are not communicating with the PDM (patient data module). The only clue we have is that the message "EC1" is displayed near the ECG values. EC1 is a service reminder. We have tried to do as much of the service as we can but can't get rid of the message. Anyone had this problem? I'm waiting for an answer from GE but I thought it might be just as quick to ask here.

Any takers?

GE are proving useless. I've not been able to get through to anyone who knows about this fault. Left several messages, no replies.

The only reply I could conjure up would be one that would be regarded as "unhelpful", Bill, I'm afraid. frown

I'll leave you to imagine the sort of thing I have in mind.

Can't promise anything Bill but I will contact my local GE service guy who was my right hand man in the days when it was still Marquette and I used to work for them. What he does not know about these systems ain't worth knowing.

Give me 24 hours....

Dave

Hi Bill, not a lot of joy just the thought that perhaps the PDM needs the latest software....

"Sorry mate not done much with the transport pro - they seem pretty reliable - however I do know there has been a software upgrade to PDMs some time ago to V1.2
That might be worth investigating"

Oh well, back to you I'm afraid.

Good luck

Dave,
Our spare PDM is v1.1 but I can't see how that would affect things as the users have tried several different PDM's. Also the remaining 9 TP's are still ok (for now).

Thanks anyway.

There are two ways of solving the communication issue when the EC1 message appears.

1. Preform a "Clear Config Memory" in the boot loader

2. Do a cold boot of the Transport Pro

Take out the batteries in the Transport Pro, and only run on mains
Turn off the Transport Pro
Press and hold the white button (the one beside the On/Off button)
Press On/Off button and keep holding the white button pressed when the Transport Pro powers up
When it's up running release the button, and verify that the "EC1" message is gone
Turn the Transport Pro off and reinstall batteries and turn the monitor on again.

In both cases preform test's as the "EC1" message is a indicator that preventive maintenance is required. Also check that all the settings are right.
The clear config memory will erase all the settings back to factory default
