EBME Forums Forums Maintenance Technical Assistance MK TOUGHPLUG REVISION

I am not sure if this is old news,but we do not like the new version of the old faithful MK TOUGHPLUG; there is no room for extended earth conductors,and the screw down clamps are poor. I knowa lot of the time moulded leads are ok,but where a plug needs making up there appears to be nothing as robust as the old version.
Does any-one else agree? Can we petition MK?

This was talked about a little while ago under Free Discussion -> MK Plug Tops.

I wrote to Mr AB Mann at the MDA who in turn wrote to Mr Pigram, the Marketing Director at MK, and nothing has really happened since. I have a copy of the letter from the mda if anyone would like a copy, but I think we are stuck with the new design.
