If I may be allowed to butt in ...

... having fixed a fair amount of medical equipment in what well be (somewhat accurately) described as "back yard" conditions, I hereby admit to All and Sundry that I've never had much joy with TV sets. They're far too demanding.

But, there again, I'm not a (so-called) Professional.

I've repaired TV, Videos too.

Not trying to be offensive, but you are talking about patient connected equipment.

You are also being offensive to " Nurse Jones "

I know of many Hospitals where Senior ODA,s / Anaesthetic Tech Nurses change o2 cells and recalibrate.

Does everybody have to have a " 20 packet top Kellogs Cornflakes Degree " to do anything these days ??

Sorry now I,m being offensive

Dont forget the need for engineering input otherwise we are all out of jobs. Nurses / ODP etc in my experience dont calibrate equipment a point which both AfC and recent NHSLA audit have highlighted. Just because some OEM has put a soft key on a piece of kit saying calibration doesnt mean the kit in question has been calibrated fully by pressing a single key.

Calibration.
An engineering activity carried out to a piece of equipment whereby the function of the equipment has been checked for accuracy in comparison to a specific technical tolerance tool for the equipment. (technical specification sheet provided by the equipment manufacturer giving set tolerances, e.g. output = 10+/- 2% by volume.)

If this check proves that the equipment is operating outside of the tolerance limits engineering adjustments are made to eradicate the inaccuracy within the equipment.

The original question asked "Appear in screen message INOP in all Pressure parameters."

You are talking about O2 calibration

In the user manual there clear instructions as to what the user can carry out,

Maybe 20 years ago you could, but know due to litigation you have defined roles.

Sorry to say but that's the way it has gone.
