Hi Geoff, just to let you know that I have a Infusion Pump 6201 that displayed a "common failure" "err 49" I don't have the service manual, then I performed the 8 step procedure you posted and the error disappeared too.

So, to have in consideration when err 49 is displayed.

Sadly I dont know what kind of failure is this error.

Error 49 is due to the 6201 batteries being totally zapped.

As I mentioned before, thanks are due to Ed Bennett for helping me out in my hour of need on that one. I was in an "unusual location" (wet, windy and damp) at the time.

Meanwhile, better check your emails.

Today's fault if F-38. Oh yes, these good old pumps still continue to give good service, and remain (shall we say) well loved!

A nice (commonly available) £ 15 12 volt 2 Ah SLA battery, by the way.

Happily, I have the "answer" to F-38. It's what I would call a "Nice Fix" (another one for my collection, then) ... but not really for Public Consumption (in case I "upset" any of the purists out there ... and I wouldn't want to do that, would I?).

Lastly, if anyone has any of these fine old pumps (or for that matter, parts etc.) they are willing to donate to worthy causes, feel free to shout.
