Hi there,

We currently are having a problem with our 1980's PSION organiser which we use to reset the service indicator on NIMBUS 2 air beds. The problem is our little PDA seems to have lost its programming, i was just wondering if anyone has the programming so i can reinstall it or if there is now a way of reseting the service indicator without the PSION

Thanks in Advance think

Ah ah! An interesting one! smile

I only wish I could help ... being a fan of the Psion Organiser myself. Remember to fit a new PP3 from time to time!

But surely the program you need is in a DataPak (EPROM)? Once you have recovered it, it would be nice to save it to PC as well.

I assume you connect to the air bed via the RS-232 cable. So other methods should be possible, as long as details (of the data) are available. Is it all mentioned in the Nimbus manual?

Be sure to let us know how you get on.

Cheers Geoff,

We think a certain someone was messing with it and has wiped the program, which we apparently aquired years ago from huntleigh, there seems to be no support for them now.

it uses the infa red port rather than rs232

Infra-Red port? What, on an Organiser II? Advanced stuff, Mate! smile

Meanwhile, some-one (else) on here must have what you're looking for. Hopefully.

You need to order part no. MIS 216 from Huntleigh. It is an IR interface for a PC. You will also need SERS001 (Communicator software) and you will be able to do everything from a PC/Laptop.

Hi R12 wan,

i have just spoke to huntleigh part no MIS216 is descibed as an adaptor service its price is £321.30 ex VAT. they do not sell SERS001 and say they never have, when i asked about the software the nice lady in sales says that MIS216 also includes the software.

So im off to order it now

On the PSION organiser 2 they no longer support the software or have it so its obselete i spoke to one of there engineers and he said they only have two left themselves and they cover 5 countys, lol.

The software you get with the MIS216 is the installation software.

We had a lot of problems getting the communication software. It's quoted as a part in various service manuals but Huntleigh refused to acknowledge that it existed. In the end 'our people' had to call 'their people'.

Let me know when you get it and if you have any problems I can forward you that software.
