I have a customer who employed a radiographer of questionable education in deepest darkest.....

We are going to try and implement an NHSLA style training program for the bloke to see if we can lift his skills level to something more akin to UK standard (Obviously over a period of .... "substantial time"

Any idea where I can get my hands on a basic X-Ray training CD-DVD preferably in the French language as well as a technique chart either in English or French

Things I'm interested to see on the chart is setings for different type X-Rays ie.. Chest X-Rays / abdominal and cranium as well as what the settings should be in terms of adults, children etc

The unit is a basic analogue used in most small clinics and poly clinics with a standard old school Kodac film processor

Anyone with ideas.... I'd appreciate some help on this

Yes ... I have an exposure chart that I "borrowed" somewhere along the way. Doesn't everyone?

I don't have it with me just at the moment, however.

Radiographers (used to) get taught this stuff, you know, Jandre! And I have yet to come across any (old school) radiographer who didn't have his or her own little notebook (traditional paper type, costing five Riyals in the souk) with factors, notes about positioning, phrases to use (when instructing, and/or reassuring the patient, etc.) and all the rest.

In my humble opinion, any so-called radiographer who hasn't got the first clue about any of this stuff should not be allowed anywhere near the machine!

Meanwhile, can the guy process radiographs (if, or when, he exposes some film)?
