Hi I have a problem with my GE MAC5000, when plugged into mains it does not charge the battery,no green light is on but amber light only. When a fully charge battery is inserted it gets drained in minutes. As for the rest machine works ok print ok display ok. Anybody has an idea what the problem is with the unit? Would a service manual help me in fixing the problem or is it something for an engineer ? (I have some very basic knowledge of egineering) I also need a service manual if anybody can help this will be much appreciated my email v_speziali@yahoo.co.uk many thanks for your trouble and best wishes

Welcome to the forum, yuye. When you need manuals it's always best to check with Frank first. Also, most folk find it useful to include their email address at their profile.
If you don't inspect ... don't expect.

You need to change a new battery that will solve your problem.
